Description:

8 arm PEG NHS is one of Nanocs multi-armed reactive PEG derivatives have multiple NHS (Succinimidyl ester) groups that can be used to modify proteins, peptides and other materials via their reaction with primary amine groups. NHS reacts with amines rapidly at alkaline pH to form stable amide bond. 8 armed NHS PEG has been used to make hydrogels, modify nanoparticle surface and many other applications. PEGylation can increase solubility and stability and reduce immunogenicity of peptides and proteins. It can also suppress the non-specific binding of charged molecules to the modified surfaces. .

M50 Magnetic Nanobeads, Cy3 labeled:

M50TMmagnetic nanobeads labeled by Cy3 are one of Nanocs’ multifunctional fluorescent super paramagnetic beads that can be used for biomolecule and cell labeling, tracking, purification and separation. Cy3 is a red fluorescent dye with excitation/emission wavelength at 550 nm/570 nm. Cy3 labeled magnetic nanoparticle can be detected by fluorescent spectrometers. The average size of these nanoparticles is around 60 nm with size distribution in the range of 50-80 nm. These magnetic nanoparticles have iron oxide core over coated by special biocompatible polymers and make them well suited for biomedical applications. Unlike large magnetic beads, those small magnetic nanoparticles have very small particle size and they can be used directly for cell separation without disturbing or disrupting regular cell development process. On the other hand, unlike very small magnetic nanoparticles, our M50TM magnetic nanobeads can be extracted by magnet without need magnetic column, a big advantage for fast and convenient biomolecule or cell labeling and separation.

Our small sized paramagnetic nanoparticles, with diameter in 25~50 nm, are suitable for fluorescent imaging, cellular and biomolecular labeling and magnetic sensing. Because of their small size, this type of magnetic nanoparticles cannot extracted with regular magnets. Our large size magnetic particles, with diameter 250 nm or above, can be exacted with magnets and therefore, can be used for cellular and biomolecule separation. Description:

Nanocs SnapLinkTM pegylated succinimidyl cyclohexane Maleimide (SMCC) amine is a heterobifunctional crosslinker that can react with sulfhydryl and amien reactive groups, such as NHS ester. This crosslinker contains a sulfhydryl reactive maleimide group and a primary amine group bridged with PEG arm. The hydrophilic polyethylene glycol (PEG) spacer arm imparts water solubility that is transferred to the crosslinked molecules , thus reducing aggregation of labeled proteins in solution. The PEG spacer arm also gives the cyclohexane maleimide PEG amine a long and flexible structure to minimize steric hindrance for its reaction to other molecues. Compared to other maleimide NHS ester, SMCC has higher stability in aqueous solution because of its cyclohexane bridge. Maleimide group reacts with available thiol or sulfhydryl at pH 6.5~7.5 to form stable thioether bonds.
