Surface functional agarose beads from Nanocs have uniform size in the range of 50~150 microns. These activated beads have multiple functional groups that can be used to attached various bio-ligands covalently to the bead surface. Covalently linked ligands offer high stability and are suitable for various biomolecule purification, capturing and assay. Description

Folic acid PEG Maleimide, also called Folate PEG Maleimide, is one of Nanocs sulfhydryl (thiol) reactive folic acid PEG derivatives. Maleimide group reacts with sulfhdyl (-SH) in pH 6.5-7.5 quickly and efficiently. This reaction allows attachment of folic acid ligand to proteins, antibodies, peptides or particle surfaces. Pegylated folic acid has relatively good water solubility and bioactivity. Folic acid functionalized substrates have been used for targeted drug delivery, imaging, and bioassay development.

Description:

Nanocs SnapLinkTM pegylated succinimidyl cyclohexane Maleimide (SMCC) amine is a heterobifunctional crosslinker that can react with sulfhydryl and amine reactive groups, such as NHS ester. This crosslinker contains a sulfhydryl reactive maleimide group and a primary amine group bridged with PEG arm. The hydrophilic polyethylene glycol (PEG) spacer arm imparts water solubility that is transferred to the crosslinked molecules , thus reducing aggregation of labeled proteins in solution. The PEG spacer arm also gives the cyclohexane maleimide PEG amine a long and flexible structure to minimize steric hindrance for its reaction to other molecues. Compared to other maleimide NHS ester, SMCC has higher stability in aqueous solution because of its cyclohexane bridge. Maleimide group reacts with available thiol or sulfhydryl at pH 6.5~7.5 to form stable thioether bonds.

  • Soluble in DMF or DMSO;
