Desthiobiotin PEG Alkyne:

Alkyne PEG Desthiobiotin is one of click chemistry reactive desthiobiotin derivatives offered by Nanocs. Alkyne reacts with azide group through Huisgen 1,3-Dipolar cycloaddition to form a stable triazole linkage. Reaction of alkyne and azide proceeds well in aqueous solution catalyzed by copper (I) ion catalyst. This reaction allows attachment of desthiobiotin tag to the targeted molecule or material substrates quickly and efficiently. PEG linker between alkyne and desthiobiotin provides higher water solubility, less steric hindrance and enhanced reactivity.
