LipoSil™ Lipophilic particles are one type of Nanocs functional silica particles that are designed to remove lipids and lipid associated substances in biomedia with high specificity. Our LipoSil™ resins have exceptional high binding capacity toward lipids, lipoproteins, and endotoxins (lipopolysaccharides). Binding of LipoSil™ to other common biological macromoleules such as albumins, immunoglobulins and other proteins is minimal. Our LipoSil™ particles can be used for lipid depletion assays, endotoxin removal and removal of lipids or lipid moiety containing molecules in biopharmceutical process and solution.
