Description:

BSA coated Gold nanoclusters provided by Nanocs are consisted of 25 gold (Au) atoms. Size of these nanoclusters is in the range of 1-2 nm. Unlike other gold nanoparticles, gold nanoclusters have definite gold atoms that show distinct physical properties. Our typical Au25 gold nanoclusters show strong red fluoresceince (emission around 680 nm) upon excited by light in the range of 350~450 nm. These gold nanoclusters can be further coated with proteins, such as BSA, enzymes, such as lysozyme and peptides or PEG to offer more stable strucuture. Surface coated gold nanoclusters can be used to detect metal ions, virus, or used for cellular surface receptor mapping.

Physical Properties:

  • Pale yellow solution in aqueous buffer;
  • Concentration: 0.01% (w/v) based on gold;
